Kirkland West

About

Kirkland West spans 4,300 hectares and is located 10km west of the town of Kirkland Lake.  The property is contiguous with the Macassa Mine property, while also adjacent to Agnico Eagle's large land position which hosts its 3Moz Upper Beaver project.  Major structures, including the Amalgamated and Main Breaks, converge with the Cadillac-Larder Lake Break on the Kirkland West property.

History

The Kirkland West property is made up of two main zones: The Baldwin Zone and the Eby Zone.

Baldwin Mine: A shaft from 1929 with four levels to 127m depth exists with lateral development of 1,177m.  Historical production resulted in gold grades of approximately 15 g/tt.  The zone contains narrow high-grade gold-quartz veins up to 0.6m thick. This zone requires follow up drilling to test the convergence of the major structures.

Eby Zone: Historical drilling showed narrow, high-grade gold-quartz veins in N.W. trending porphyry and volcanic surrounded by low-grade but anomalous gold in wall rocks--up to 26.1m grading 0.34 gpt gold. Structures go through the Eby Zone, which will be tested.

Kirkland West: Where the "Breaks" Come Together

The Main Break is considered the most important gold hosting structure at Macassa, and the Amalgamated Break is a key structural control for Macassa's South Mine Complex. All structures at the prolific Cadillac-Larder Lake Break and Kirana Break converge at Kirkland West, making this an optimal setting for gold mineralization. Mistango will conduct significant drilling on these structures to understand further the structural controls on the Kirkland West property's known mineralization.

Drilling Program at the Baldwin Zone

A 10,000-metres diamond drilling campaign on the Kirkland West Project will commence on November 3rd, 2020.    The focus of the upcoming drilling campaign at the Kirkland West Project will be the Baldwin Zone, which shares a similar geological context with the Kirkland Lake mining camp. The Baldwin Zone likely hosts extensions of the gold-bearing Main Break fault and subsidiary structures, as well as the regionally important Larder-Cadillac Fault Zone.

Target areas for the drill program have been identified based on the completed geological and structural interpretation. These include the historical Baldwin Mine and surrounding areas as well as several complex structural domains, each of which are located on or associated with fault systems similar to those that host much of the gold endowment of the Kirkland Lake Camp.

*Important Note Regarding Historical Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves

Mistango cautions that a Qualified Person has not done sufficient work to classify the historical mineral resource estimates as current mineral resources or mineral reserves; Mistango is not treating the previous estimates as relevant or as current mineral resources or mineral reserves and the previous estimates should not be relied upon. Mistango considers these results as indications of the presence of mineralization on the property and will use the information to guide future exploration but the reader is cautioned not to rely on these estimates.
