an arcade hockey game where you step into the skates of mighty heroes for intense hockey boss battles against formidable goaltenders. In this epic adventure, players will unravel the mysteries of Zambonia, as a band of misfit heroes embarks on a quest to banish a wicked energy that's transforming everyone into hockey-obsessed mascots.
Q: On what platforms can I purchase the game?
R: The game is available on PC (Steam), PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It will be released to Nintendo Switch later this year.
Q: How does this game compare to a regular hockey simulation? (Yes, you know the one ;) )
R: Goons: Legends & Mayhem is a much more arcade version of your typical hockey game. It features powers, mischiefs and a whimsical take on hockey. It also features a story mode that acts as a cool way to unlock characters, stages and teach you the game mechanics in a deeper way.
Q: Is this game appropriate for my kid?
R: This game has been made purposely simpler to ease in new hockey gamers, but also to make it more accessible to younger players and whole families. While some regions will have higher age rating for the game, we found that players of around age 6 and up will enjoy it. The game does not feature graphic violence or mature themes.
Q: Does the game have online multiplayer?
R: Yes indeed! The game features server hosted online play. Always solid, no matter what part of the world you are in or how solid your opponent's internet connection is.
Q: Do I need to be connected online to play?
R: No at all! After downloading the game, you won't need to stay connected to the internet to use the game. Only online matches will rewu
Q Does it feature cross play / cross save?
R: The game does not feature cross features at the moment.
Q: Can I play the story in coop with a friend?
R: The campaign is playable in solo only. However, any multiplayer match encounter or regular multiplayer matches are, of course, multiplayer.
Q: How many players can we get to play in a single match?
R: The game supports from 1 to 6 players in a variety of 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 modes. You can choose to fill in missing players with AI-controllers bots or not. Some platforms do not support more than 4 players locally, which means you would have to play online to max out count the player count.
Q: Is there a ranked competitive mode?
R: No ranked mode is planned for now. However, there is a progression system per character that will show you about how much time a player has played with a specific legend.
Q: Can I play with a friend locally and go online?
R: Yes! You can mix many local players and online players up to 6 in a single lobby. You do not have to play in the same team once you get online.
Q: Are there microtransactions in the game?
R: None! While the game is a premium title, no additional purchase is required to get in-game items. The game features its own in-game currencies acquired as you play.
Q: Are all controllers compatible with the game?
R: All 1st party controllers will work on PC and most generic controllers will work as expected under normal conditions.
Q: Can I play with a keyboard and mouse configuration on PC?
R: Sure thing! While we recommend using a controller, K&M has been tweaked to allow an experience that's on-par with its controller counterpart. It usually starts feeling natural after a few matches only.
Q: In a multiplayer match, do I get to play every characters on the team?
R: There are three multiplayer modes:
[None]: No AI-controlled bot filling in for missing players.
[AI-only]: AI-controlled bots filling in for missing players. You will control your selected character throughout the whole match.
[Playable]: AI-controlled bots filling in for missing players. You will control any character you pass to that is not already played by someone else. You can switch to the closest character to the puck using the pass button.
Q: I don't speak English fluently. In what languages is the game translated?
R: The game is available in English, French, Spanish, German, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Swedish, Czech and even French Canadian!
