The CleanBC Go Electric program is intended to encourage and accelerate the adoption of zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) in B.C. for their environmental and economic benefits.

Program areas

Passenger vehicle rebates

The CleanBC Go Electric Passenger Vehicle Rebate Program is intended to make zero-emission vehicles more affordable for British Columbians.

Fleet Charging Program

The CleanBC Go Electric Fleet Charging Program supports public, private, and Indigenous fleets transitioning to zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs).

Commercial vehicles

Zero-emission commercial vehicles include battery electric or hydrogen fuel cell motorcycles, low-speed utility trucks, heavy-duty transport trucks, medium and heavy-duty trucks, passenger buses, airport and port services vehicles, as well as domestic marine, air, and rail vehicles.

Go Electric Rebates

Businesses, non-profits, and public sector organizations can get rebates on cargo e-bikes, buses, medium- and heavy-duty trucks, and other vehicles. Visit the Go Electric Rebates website for details.

Individuals can get rebates on low-speed neighborhood vehicles and electric motorcycles through Go Electric Rebates.

Commercial Vehicle Pilots Program (CVP)

Support for B.C.-based businesses, non-profits, local governments, Indigenous communities, and eligible public entities looking to deploy ZEV technology in commercial applications and supporting infrastructure.

Funding covers up to 1/3 of the total cost of projects. There is $11 million available to support on-road medium and heavy-duty applications and projects in the marine, rail, air, or off-road categories.

Combining Go Electric Rebates and CVP with Federal iMHZEV Rebates

B.C. businesses and non-profit organizations looking to purchase or lease a new medium- or heavy-duty zero-emission vehicle are allowed to stack the federal iMHZEV rebates with provincial funding.

Home and workplace charger rebates

Rebates for purchasing and installing electric vehicle (EV) chargers at:

Public EV charging and hydrogen fueling infrastructure 

Funding for public charging stations that make it easier to travel throughout B.C. in an EV.  

Public education and outreach

The CleanBC Go Electric Program supports communities and related organizations to deliver public education and awareness campaigns about EVs through the Emotive campaign.
